00:11 We are now refocusing our health priorities,
00:14 applying the lessons learned from the pandemic,
00:16 and addressing the weaknesses that it has exposed.
00:20 Healthier communities and lifestyles are our advocacy.
00:24 We have launched convergent programs
00:26 to address hunger and nutrition-related issues
00:29 amongst our people, especially the children,
00:32 like stunting and wasting.
00:34 Last week, we introduced the Pilot Food Stamp Program,
00:38 which seeks to supply the nutrition
00:41 needs of the million most food-poor Filipinos.

00:50 The FSP shall complement our nutrition continuity programs,
00:54 such as the First 1,000 Days Program, which
00:58 ensures nourishment for the first three
01:00 years of a child's life.
01:02 The Supplemental Feeding Program is for our children
01:05 attending daycare centers.
01:08 The K-6 Program will feed kindergarten
01:10 to grade six public school students
01:13 who are suffering from wasting and severe malnutrition.
01:18 We are catching up on the routine vaccinations
01:20 of our children.
01:21 As of this year, more than 80% of our eligible children
01:25 have been vaccinated against measles, rubella, and polio.

01:45 The whole of society must exert efforts
01:49 to suppress the alarming rise of tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS.
01:54 To stem the tide, the strategic plan
01:56 is to ensure early diagnosis and treatment and ample testing
02:00 sites and medications.
02:02 Our health care system is undergoing structural changes.
02:06 Public health facilities are being increased,
02:08 both in number and in capability.
02:11 Last year, more than 3,400 projects
02:16 were completed to improve capacity
02:18 for specialized medical treatment.
02:20 Specialty centers in various fields
02:23 are being established and integrated
02:26 into our government hospitals.
02:28 And in the last year, additional 60 specialty centers
02:31 have been opened to the public.
02:34 Just last week, we inspected the site
02:36 of what will soon be a five-hectare multi-specialty
02:40 center in Pampanga, which will specialize
02:42 in pediatrics, cardiology, kidney, and cancer treatment.
