00:10 I think the reason why I'm here is because I think last year, I think I found another way to work with these guys.
00:15 It's not even just running the ball, being able to catch the ball as well.
00:18 So I'm doing those same things this year, just to make sure I catalyze on what I did last year.
00:22 Going back to the film, what I could have did better is using those to build this year.
00:28 >> How about the really good running back, you're a representative of EDJ and everybody else.
00:32 How do you guys, those guys, lock these over here?
00:35 I understand the army won't be putting these together, but just a team?
00:39 >> I think the reason why running back is so successful is because everybody's cheering for everybody.
00:43 When I'm not in, I'm cheering for him.
00:45 When he's not in, I'm cheering for him.
00:47 We all cheer for each other.
00:49 Even the guys like Tony, KJ, working for us, we're all cheering for each other because we all want to see each other be successful.
00:55 Because they should have been.
00:55 They're just like this.
00:56 We're successful.
00:58 We all just cheer for each other.
00:59 >> Speaking of offense, couldn't really see that.
01:02 If it wasn't for Daniels Ridge, he probably would have been the best quarterback in the league.
01:05 How do you see him grow during this time of having him?
01:07 >> Man, it's about crazy.
01:08 Q came in, he was kind of one of my older guys.
01:11 And just being able to get to know him kind of on a closer level, and he's like a brother to me.
01:15 So just being able to work with him and build together,
01:19 just kind of changed the culture at Howard University, which I think we started to do.
01:23 It's a great thing.
01:24 And just seeing his growth from a young guy who's kind of still running offense to him being the guy who's calling the shots.
01:30 He's arranging meetings, he's arranging practice, stuff like that.
01:33 It's a big deal.
01:34 >> Speaking of another heavy to have, I know into our memory,
01:38 Tony Crowe, but Ricky LaRosa, Kacy Arthur, Nishan is a player.
01:43 Those are three young, but talented, barbecues, and were top-level in the aggregations.
01:48 What allows them to kind of be successful?
01:50 What are you expecting from them next season?
01:52 >> Man, all three of those guys are named are athletic, and dogs, and in different ways, man.
01:57 Like Nishan, just a big, such a big body.
02:00 Not many things many guys can do with him.
02:01 Rich is the shiftest guy you'll ever play against.
02:04 Kacy, just all around threat.
02:06 Just like Kacy at wide, you're killing it backfield.
02:08 So all those guys are just so talented in so many different ways.
02:11 I think that's why we're successful as a team.
02:12 We got guys who can play running back and receiver and just do it all.
02:16 >> Absolutely.
02:17 Kind of going to the other side of the ball, Kenny Gallo, leader of that defense.
02:21 How is he able to kind of hold it down on that side of the ball?
02:23 >> Great.
02:24 Kenny's definitely, he's a quarterback on the defense.
02:27 He's a vocal guy.
02:28 He's always talking.
02:29 He's always letting guys know what the next move is.
02:32 And he's the guy you want to get behind.
02:34 Just because the way he leads, the way he talks, he's always vocal.
02:37 He's just a guy that really shows he loves the game.
02:40 And somebody like that, you'll go to war with anytime.
02:43 >> Last question for me.
02:45 What's one player, I know it's a team effort, and
02:47 it's a lot of times the guys are in high with brothers.
02:49 What's one thing that people aren't talking about now, but
02:51 then you're talking about teams?
02:52 >> I want to just give him that badge.
02:56 Up front, I'm gonna mention my guys up front.
02:59 We got Aneem, we got Nishan, we got Buck.
03:01 The other guys, Seth, and you'll see him this year at the Demetrius Brotherhood.
03:05 Brotherhood is on it.
03:06 But those guys, Seth Bob up front, I think they're gonna be one group to talk about.
03:12 Just one or two guys, I think they're gonna be a group to talk about.
03:15 >> Thank you so much, Jerry.
03:16 Thank you so much.
03:17 >> Appreciate it, man.
