00:13 Hey guys, it's Joe and Ryan with Airship Syndicate and we are getting ready for our Early Access
00:22 which is about to launch, so pretty exciting times at Airship.
00:26 Yeah, we've had a bunch of great betas already, gotten good feedback from fans, from content
00:31 creators, taken it to the shop, made a bunch of changes to the game, but now the real fun
00:35 begins because we get everybody's input.
00:37 And now it's your turn to hop in, play the game, talk to us and help us get this game
00:42 ready for the big time.
00:44 We've been building this game alongside the community in a lot of different ways.
00:47 The biggest and the most interactive way is through our Discord, which even in just a
00:51 short couple of months we've already grown past 10,000 members, which is insane.
00:55 And just the amount of talent where people are making gifts and stickers and the fan
01:00 art, even characters that weren't even released yet.
01:02 Yeah, the community feedback from the playtests has been great.
01:06 They've led to a lot of just like balance tweaking with like how gunplay works and movement
01:10 speed and things like that.
01:11 And we put in air dashing based on, I think it was a bug that people just liked, so we
01:17 made it real.
01:18 What Early Access means for Wayfinder is, you know, it gives us a chance to let people
01:22 in early so that we can start to understand what parts of our game are exciting to them
01:29 and what they'd like to see more of.
01:31 And it can really help us shape the experience before we go free to play and wide to everybody.
01:36 A live service game is pretty new for us, and so we're learning how to do that at the
01:40 same time.
01:41 We're getting all this feedback and it's actually been a really refreshing experience to finally
01:47 understand, you know, in real time what's working and what isn't.
01:50 And then we can be a lot more like productive and proactive about making the game better,
01:54 which as game makers is awesome for us.
01:59 We're taking a page from the DE playbook.
02:01 Free to play as in free and fair.
02:04 All characters, all weapons can be acquirable through crafting.
02:08 You can play all the quests without having been gated behind a paywall.
02:12 By not including any loot boxes, not including any gotcha, if you want to have any component
02:16 of the game affect your character, that is completely available to every single player
02:21 across the board.
02:22 Doesn't matter if they're a paid player or if they just want to jump in, try it out and
02:25 experience the game for free.
02:31 Venomous is our newest Wayfinder.
02:33 She is a spy and an assassin from this place called The Maze.
02:37 She uses these augments and technological advancements to make herself more powerful.
02:43 Usually when we start out designing Wayfinders, we sit down and take a look at the concept
02:48 for the character.
02:49 Venomous' role in a party is supposed to be more of a support role.
02:52 She's also a ranged Wayfinder, so she'll be supporting her team using heals and also ranged
02:57 damage.
02:58 But then she also has poisons that she uses.
03:00 So Venomous is really good at applying damage over time consistently.
03:04 Because of her passive, she is able to deal damage even if she's not actively engaging
03:09 an enemy with her dot.
03:11 She uses poisons to weaken her enemies, basically to hurt them slowly, and she kind of gets
03:17 a kick out of that.
03:18 She likes watching them suffer a bit as she toys with them.
03:21 Venomous' signature weapon is called Nightshade.
03:24 It's our first burst fire rifle weapon in the game.
03:28 We're starting to have some more diversity with weapon types.
03:31 Venomous is probably the most versatile Wayfinder we've yet created in that she's very good
03:36 with both ranged weapons and melee weapons.
03:39 When she's playing with melee weapons, she has the ability to apply poison to many more
03:42 enemies at a way faster rate.
03:45 So there's advantages there, but at the same time you don't get the safety that you do
03:49 with rifles.
03:53 So what makes the Reward Tower unique is that it's more than just a linear progression of
03:58 rewards that you unlock.
03:59 It's a bit of an adventure game of its own.
04:01 So we're presenting it like a little isometric dungeon, and as you earn keys, you're going
04:06 to be able to hit switches, solve little puzzles, get little bonus rewards.
04:10 One great thing that our Reward Tower lets you do is when you purchase it, it stays with
04:14 your account.
04:15 It'll always be there for you when you come back.
04:21 Since the start, we've talked about building this game alongside the community, and our
04:24 Founders Packs are a first step towards doing that.
04:26 Today, we are excited to announce that the base Founders Pack not only gives you access
04:31 to the game, but also to Founders Season 1's full Reward Tower, including the brand new
04:35 Wayfinder, Venomous.
04:36 We'll also have upgrades available in the Initiate and the Awaken Pack that not only
04:41 give you access to the game in Founders Season 1, but also Founders Season 2.
04:45 Other things such as Wayfinder Tokens to unlock current or future Wayfinders, Pets, Mounts,
04:51 Skins, Housing Decorations, and so much more.
04:56 The Exalted Pack is for our most dedicated supporter.
04:59 It contains a permanent account-based progression boost for the currently active Reward Tower,
05:03 as well as a heroic version of a fan favorite, Kyros.
05:06 This will never be sold again and is only available in this pack.
05:09 I think it's going to be a really exciting time for all of us as we carve the way through
05:14 to what Wayfinder is going to become for everyone.
05:19 So for the rest of the year, we can look forward to two Early Access Seasons, and we'll be
05:23 adding new Lost Zones, which will come with new creatures, new hunts, new group content.
05:30 There'll be new Wayfinders, new weapons, new progression systems, including Awakening
05:34 and Radiance levels.
05:36 And there'll be new traversal methods too, including mounts and a hookshot.
05:40 So for free-to-play, one of the biggest features we're going to be adding is neighborhoods
05:43 for player housing, which I'm really excited about because it's really going to bring the
05:47 community together and take the social element of the game to another level.
05:51 We hope you guys enjoyed that deeper look into Wayfinder and the game that we're bringing
05:55 you guys for Early Access.
05:57 The team here, still relatively small, especially for a game this ambitious.
06:01 They put a lot of work, a lot of themselves into this thing, a lot of passion.
