A woman who sent a text message to the wrong person fell in love with the recipient - and now they're married with six children.

Brenda Stearns, 36, thought she was sending a message to her sister's friend in August 2009 but they had changed numbers - so she messaged a complete stranger instead.

Isaiah Stearns, 40, received the message - a passage from the Bible about putting others first - and replied saying '‘Amen to that, who is this?’", before striking up a conversation with Brenda.

00:00 "No, I don't think we've ever met. My name is Isaiah Stearns."
00:03 And so that was the first interaction I had with Isaiah.
00:06 My name is Brenda Rivera Stearns, and I met my husband by sending a text to the wrong number.
00:15 It was my habit of sending positive text messages or Bible scriptures to my contacts.
00:25 So I send that text, and within 20 minutes, I get a phone number back saying, "Amen to that. Who is this?"
00:32 I thought I knew this person.
00:34 And so I'm saying, "Oh, hey, it's Brenda, Roxy's sister. Do you remember me? You're my mom's neighbor."
00:39 And again, the number's like, "No, I don't think we've ever met. My name is Isaiah Stearns."
00:44 And so that was kind of like the first interaction I had with Isaiah.
00:48 I remember he texted me the next day, and he said,
00:51 "Hey, I really appreciate the text message that you sent to me by accident yesterday. It was really encouraging."
00:56 And I was like, "Oh, no worries. It's fine."
00:59 And he said, "If you don't mind, I'd like to call you sometime."
01:01 And that same day, he gave me a call, and I remember I purposefully did not answer
01:08 because I was hoping he'd leave my voicemail so I can listen to his voice.
01:12 So once I heard the voicemail, I felt really comfortable.
01:16 So I call him back, and that's when we kind of started introducing each other a little bit more.
01:21 He lived in Ohio, and I'm like, "Oh, hey, I have family in Ohio. My mom and my sister are there.
01:25 Maybe when I visit them, we could hang out."
01:28 And that was that. So it was kind of like, "Hey, maybe we can be friends one day."
01:32 But it wasn't anything more than that on our initial conversation by phone.
01:36 So me and my mom, we have a very close relationship, and I called him.
01:44 I said, "Hey, Mom, this is this guy, and I think I kind of like him, but it's just all so weird
01:48 because I met him through text. I was meaning to text someone else."
01:51 Anyway, I told her the story, and she's like, "Well, he's in Ohio. Why don't I go meet him for you?"
01:56 And I said, "You know what? Let me tell Isaiah that you're interested in kind of meeting him
02:00 and just see what he thinks."
02:02 So I call Isaiah, and I'm like, "Hey, my mom would like to meet you. What do you think about that?"
02:06 And he's like, "Oh, that sounds like a really good idea."
02:08 They go out to dinner, and it's my mom, my younger sister, and Isaiah.
02:12 So my mom finally calls me, and we get to talking and stuff.
02:15 And I'm like, "Okay, Mom, so from 1 to 10, what do you rate him?"
02:19 And my mom, without hesitation, says, "11. You're going to marry this guy."
02:24 I moved to Ohio November 29th.
02:32 We go on our first official date, December 1st, 2009.
02:37 I remember my first impression was, "He's very tall."
02:41 I also did not like that he was bald, because he's the shape of a head.
02:45 I just remember feeling just really at peace, really comfortable with him,
02:48 like I could really just be myself.
02:50 So we got married, and within two months--maybe it was three months--
02:58 I found out that I was pregnant.
03:00 But it didn't feel rushed. Like, I know it happened fast, but it didn't feel rushed.
03:04 It felt like just the right timing for us.
03:08 We're going to be married 13 years in June, and we have six children.
03:12 So if you do the math, yeah, I pretty much have been pregnant every year.
