Tottenham Hotspur: Spurs looking to attack under Postecoglou
Transcript
00:00 And just before in the first question you alluded to, of course, the manager's comments about
00:04 playing the right way despite the result. What does that say to you about how
00:09 Andrew Postacoclou is going to approach managing Tottenham?
00:12 Well, I think it gives us hope as a fan base. I think it's exciting. I think it gives us real
00:18 cause for optimism. I've not felt like this as a Spurs fan probably since Pochettino came through
00:23 the door. He's pretty much set out his stall. We will play attacking football. We will look
00:28 to dominate games home and away. He wants to see people take risks at the back. I mean,
00:32 there was a period of play yesterday where Davinson Sanchez, who's not ideal on the ball,
00:38 took a little bit of a risk with a little one-two with Emerson almost on the goal line.
00:42 And it ended up with Spurs basically launching a counter-attack and almost scoring a goal. So,
00:48 that was the positive side of it. Obviously, there's going to be some negatives. Vicario
00:53 kicked the ball out of play with a pass back that led to the second goal. So,
00:59 there's high risk, high reward, I suppose, in the way he wants to play. But I think it's exciting.
01:04 And he is a really, really positive influence so far. As I say, the proof will be in the pudding.
01:11 But so far, I think every Spurs fan is quietly optimistic,
01:15 although we do need those reinforcements, particularly in defence.
