00:03 It's been five months since Asian short-clawed otters,
00:06 Wallace and Annie, became parents for the first time.
00:09 After a tough start in life,
00:13 the runt of their litter, Bo,
00:15 has battled his way to a full recovery.
00:17 - He's definitely come on leaps and bounds.
00:22 (boy squeaking)
00:24 Bo is now a lot more confident
00:26 and he's making sure he gets the food that he needs.
00:30 (boy squeaking)
00:32 Can't really tell which one he is now
00:34 'cause he's almost the same size
00:35 as his brothers and sisters.
00:37 I think the turning point was when
00:41 he just started getting a bit more pushy for food.
00:44 - When the other pups learned to swim,
00:48 Bo had been too weak to join in.
00:50 But now he's getting private lessons from his doting dad.
00:53 - Wallace, he's been very supportive of Bo.
00:58 He's maybe giving him a bit more of his time
01:00 and making a special effort to help him progress.
01:03 - And these days,
01:04 mum Annie is also taking a full part in parenting duties.
01:09 - Now Annie's not constantly feeding the pups.
01:12 She has a bit more energy to put into the parenting side
01:15 to help Wallace out.
01:17 She still has fun with her pebbles though.
01:21 - It's really, really nice that they've all made it,
01:27 but especially him.
01:28 He's a little bit special.
