00:00 You know, smile, you always look sad.
00:02 It will just lighten up your whole face.
00:05 Your hair could look a lot better.
00:07 For one, they could make all your hair one colour.
00:10 I guess we'll find out, not too long.
00:13 By the way, you've only got 15 minutes till we're leaving,
00:15 so you'd better hurry up.
00:16 Good morning, girls.
00:25 Morning.
00:26 Here we are at Seville's Newmarket.
00:28 We are honoured to have with us here today, Mr Paul Seville.
00:32 Paul is the founder and owner of Seville's Hair Salon and Academy.
00:39 When you are a model, you need to have a haircut that is not only current, but versatile.
00:46 So, let's go make some changes.
00:49 Okay, Laura, the first thing that we're going to do is cut off your hair.
00:57 How short are we talking?
00:59 We're talking short.
01:00 You're going to be our Agnes Dean.
01:03 Okay, Ruby, we are going to change your colour.
01:11 Cool.
01:12 Showcase this beautiful skin that you've got.
01:14 Beautiful red hair.
01:15 We need to chop it up to here.
01:18 Okay.
01:20 That fringe is so dominant that you're never going to get any versatility.
01:25 Under that beautiful pair of blue eyes, and we want to show that,
01:28 we're going to dye your hair chocolate brown.
01:30 Cool.
01:31 Chris Seville.
01:33 We're going to make you into our Giselle.
01:34 You know who Giselle is?
01:35 Yes, she's my favourite.
01:37 Olivia, we're going to get rid of this inch here.
01:41 Yeah.
01:42 And take out this rainbow of blondes that you're running with at the moment.
01:46 Okay.
01:46 You're going to look gorgeous.
01:47 We're going to get some nice warm caramels in here.
01:50 We're going to cut some layers in here to get this weight out.
01:54 And we're going to turn you into Eva Mendes.
01:56 Oh, wow.
01:58 You're going to look hot.
02:00 Thank you.
02:01 Victoria, we're going to make you into a slightly shorter, layered Katie Holmes bob.
02:09 Oh, okay.
02:10 Terri-Lee.
02:11 We've got beautiful freckles, so we want to bring that out.
02:14 So we'll put in a copper feel to it.
02:17 How long since you had a haircut?
02:18 I can't remember.
02:19 We're going to trim it up to here.
02:23 Hey, beautiful girl, your hair's like pulling you down.
02:26 Okay.
02:27 Arjo, we're going to cut your hair off.
02:31 How short is it?
02:33 All off.
02:33 I grew my hair for six years.
02:36 I was so shocked.
02:38 So how short?
02:44 This short.
02:45 Like your hair.
02:46 So you like my hair?
02:48 My hair's great.
02:49 It'll make you really striking.
02:52 You know, everything's just going to be about your face.
02:54 In our culture, you can't just shave your hair off, especially when you're a girl.
02:59 Unless something bad happens in the family, you can only shave it off when somebody dies.
03:05 We have an absolute emergency here.
03:08 Have a good hard look.
03:11 This is the new you.
03:12 It's the only way you're going to understand how to work your hair, by looking at how you look now.
03:21 Now I got a short hair, so I'll be working on my face, my neck and my body.
03:25 So no tears anymore?
03:27 No.
03:28 Great. Do you know what it does? It just lifts your eyes.
03:30 I'm really, really scared because my hair looks orange.
03:41 Some people call it red and some people call it brown, but my hair is orange.
03:46 I see it as a good thing for Rebecca Rose. I don't see it as a good thing for me.
03:49 I mean, my hair brings out my features and my freckles and my eyes and my skin colour,
03:56 but it doesn't work as a colour.
03:57 I was told that it's going to have a sort of Eva Mendes look.
04:04 Could actually look good, but I don't know if it would.
04:07 How can you cry?
04:09 Oh, I'm not going to cry anyway. I'm just really happy.
04:12 I was initially extremely excited.
04:16 They said they were going to make it like Giselle, and it didn't quite work out how I planned.
04:20 Christabel was quite upset about her hair. She thought that it looked grey, not blonde.
04:25 I'll try and work my new look. I'll probably just try and think that it's how it used to be.
04:31 I just feel like it was better before. I think that's why I'm annoyed.
04:37 What kind of look do you think that I have, you know, coming from the USA?
04:41 Yeah, you could say a Mediterranean kind of look.
04:44 Is that close to South America?
04:46 Yes, quite a bit.
04:48 It is?
04:48 I'm quite excited about, you know, my new look.
04:51 It's obviously a lot better than what it was before,
04:53 but a new look or not, you've still got to bring the performances.
04:59 When you've had the same haircut for two years and you're happy with it,
05:03 it's really hard to be open to the change.
05:07 I'm very strong with the way I dress and the way my hair was
05:10 and the way that kind of identifies me.
05:13 Halfway through, like, just the cut with my old colour really wasn't working.
05:16 I was having pretty much a mental breakdown because I was hating it.
05:20 I really like my hair. I think it's awesome.
05:23 I've never had it this light before.
05:25 It's been ages since I've changed my hair.
05:27 It'll be interesting to see what happens when I try and style it.
05:30 Wow, that colour looks great.
05:33 I've always wanted to change, but I've never had long hair because my family like long hair.
05:39 I trust the hairdressers and I trust Sarah that what I'm getting is the best.
05:43 Great hair. You like it?
05:48 Yeah, I love it. I feel like Colin.
05:49 I just want to look in the mirror every two seconds.
05:51 Do smile, actually.
05:53 I then went and got it coloured and I was still pretty upset
06:02 because all I could think about was how it looked beforehand.
06:06 The cut isn't 100% for me. It's not exactly what I would have chosen.
06:12 I really like Lucy's hair. I reckon it looks amazing.
06:14 I don't know what the fricking drama was about.
06:16 I mean, Olivia and I have totally different hairstyles.
06:19 Like, I mean, hers is blonde, blonde and mine's black.
06:22 There will be no comparison anymore. We look totally different.
06:34 Finally, that was where it stops.
06:36 My outlook to my future has changed somewhat.
06:39 I feel like I want a lot more than my nine to five job.
06:42 If I don't feel beautiful like a model should, then it's really gonna affect my persona
06:49 and how I manage to do things, competitions, photo shoots, the whole lot.
06:52 I'm actually gonna look like a bit of a boy and feel like a boy.
06:56 Do you think you can handle this?
06:59 Just gotta suck it up and get past it.
07:02 When you give me a hairstyle that's not me,
07:04 then of course I'm gonna have identity problems and I need to get over it real quick
07:09 because otherwise I'm not gonna be able to continue on the competition.
07:12 This is a makeover.
07:21 An extreme makeover. Pre-mature.
07:24 I actually feel like a boy.
07:29 I couldn't throw out words like I feel glamorous and beautiful because I didn't.
07:33 Oh my god, my eyebrows.
07:37 Did they get burnt off?
07:39 Okay, wasn't expecting this.
07:42 I'm getting used to my colour.
07:45 With time I'm sure everyone will start to appreciate it and see that it actually does look good.
07:48 But at the moment everyone's still in shock.
07:50 I actually look like an oompa loompa right now.
07:55 You do.
07:57 Oompa.
07:57 She's not crying yet.
08:02 We're going good.
08:04 Are you getting your eyebrows taken away from you?
08:06 No, thank goodness.
08:07 I love what they've done to my hair.
08:11 The bob cut, everything, the Katie Holmes look.
08:13 And the colour's great.
08:14 I've always wanted to have this lovely brown colour.
08:16 I'm really happy with it.
08:18 So how's the haircut feeling?
08:23 It's about to be taken to another level.
08:25 Everything's getting a little terrible.
08:27 So I'm just waiting for another application of bleach after being washed and then dried.
08:34 I had it bleached once and then it got more and I was like, oh my god, my hair is going to fall out.
08:42 It might have taken a long time and been pretty painful but I think that they did the job properly.
08:46 This hairstyle is a new beginning for me and I don't think that I look plain and boring anymore.
08:53 Everyone was most excited to see how my hair turned out and it was kind of like the biggest transformation.
08:58 And I think that everyone is looking forward to seeing how I'm going to work it.
09:01 Little Prezzie, GHD.
09:05 See you soon.
09:07 And for you, spunky new hairdo.
09:09 Bye.
09:10 See ya.
