KTVU's Frank Somerville off air after slurring speech during newscast

June 1, 2021: KTVU television news anchor Frank Somerville has been taken off the air after an incident Sunday evening in which he slurred his speech while struggling to read a prepared script off the teleprompter. He left the newscast early. The station has not offered an explanation as to his sudden departure or revealed when he will be back on the air.
