Train strikes across Wales have meant there have been no trains in and out of North Wales, with only a limited service in and around Cardiff, which will also impact schedules on Friday and Saturday. Councillors in Ely have said that more needs to be done to help rebuild trust in public institutions after a fatal crash and riots took place in the area last week. Councillor Maliika Kaaba says that more police visibility, connection and integration is needed to help residents in the area feel safer.

Welsh rugby star Rhys Webb has become the latest player to announce his retirement from international rugby. The 34 year joins Justin Tipuric and Alun Wyn Jones in calling it quits, with only 100 days left until the World Cup in September. He said an opportunity to play abroad influenced his decision.
