Wales headlines 2 June: Mass train disruption between South Wales and London
  • 11 months ago
A 41 year old man from Swansea has been arrested on suspicion of recklessly acting in a manner likely to endanger an aircraft. The arrest comes after the National Police Air Service claimed it was being targeted by a laser pointer during a search. A man from Ravenhill is currently in police custody.

Trains between South Wales and London are set to be disrupted throughout June as essential maintenance work takes place. The Severn tunnel will be closed between the 9th and 18th June as well as the 25th June while a line on the English side of the track is restored. Some trains will be diverted as others will require a replacement bus.

Five specific sites across North Wales will be created to tackle an issue with motor homes in the area. The sites are intended to give people travelling to the area a place to park up and stay during their time, in a similar plan that can be seen across mainland Europe. Though some residents are concerned, and want to be involved in the plans.
