00:00 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:02 Hey, guys.
00:17 It's Jackie.
00:18 And today's tutorial is inspired by Lady Gaga
00:21 from this year's Grammys.
00:22 And this is a very bold, colorful look,
00:24 so not for everybody.
00:25 But a look I definitely wanted to recreate.
00:27 So I hope you guys enjoy, and let's get into it.
00:30 I'm starting out with moisturized skin.
00:31 And for foundation, I'm using my drugstore CoverGirl Clean
00:35 Foundation.
00:35 And I've mixed in some High Beam from Benefit
00:37 for a gorgeous sheen to the skin.
00:39 I dot on the mix, and then I blend out
00:44 with my beauty blender.
00:45 And a lot of people like to start in the center
00:47 of the face.
00:48 I find the redness and discolorations
00:50 are at the sides of my face.
00:51 So I just like to blend in the product where I need it most,
00:54 and then fade it out to other areas.
00:57 Make sure your foundation is very blended out
00:59 and that you don't have any harsh lines.
01:00 And I needed a little bit more concealer
01:02 around my eyes, around my nose and chin,
01:04 where my skin gets more red.
01:06 So go ahead and add any concealer on blemishes
01:08 or wherever you need it.
01:10 And then powder your face slightly to set the makeup.
01:12 And I love my Bare Minerals Original.
01:17 It's a great foundation if you want to use it just on its own.
01:19 But I love to use a little bit because I
01:21 love how it sets my makeup and the finish of it.
01:24 But you guys probably know that by now because I always
01:26 have these same kind of intro steps.
01:28 So let me know in the comments down below
01:30 if you'd like to keep seeing the foundation routine bit in here
01:33 or if I can skip out on it.
01:34 Gaga definitely had some contouring going on.
01:43 So I am using an ashy brown.
01:45 And I'm contouring my cheekbones and my nose
01:47 a little bit more than usual.
01:49 And once I have everything sorted out,
01:51 I am blending out with some bronzer.
01:53 And this will also warm up my skin.
01:54 And I'm bringing this along my forehead,
01:56 under my cheekbones again, and around my jawline.
01:59 For blush, I'm using a tiny bit of Flur Power from MAC.
02:11 But it doesn't look like Gaga had a lot of color on her cheeks.
02:14 So whatever blush you choose to go with,
02:16 just make sure it's light because the eyes will be bold.
02:20 And Lady Gaga was rocking some white hair.
02:22 So her brows are super light.
02:24 But I'm just filling in my natural brows
02:26 to keep them groomed.
02:27 Comb out your brow hair so the product is evenly dispersed
02:38 and looks more natural.
02:39 And then prime your eyes.
02:40 I'm using Urban Decay's Primer Potion in Eden before shadows.
02:44 And I haven't used tape in a while in my tutorials.
02:47 But for this look, it really does make life easier.
02:49 So I've just taken a small piece of tape,
02:51 applied it to the back of my hand a couple times
02:53 so it's not that sticky and won't take away
02:55 the makeup we've already applied.
02:57 And then I'm just planning my wings.
02:58 So basically, the tape is angling towards the end of my brows.
03:02 And then I'm just going in with an angled brush
03:04 and some black shadow.
03:05 And I'm creating a winged wing.
03:07 And I'm just going in with a little bit of black shadow
03:10 to create a winged wing.
03:11 And some black shadow, and I'm creating a window shape.
03:14 During this step, you can really decide how dramatic
03:20 you want this look to go.
03:21 So for me, I went about medium from what
03:23 Lady Gaga was wearing.
03:24 She had a lot more black in her look.
03:26 But with her deep set eyes, it looked amazing.
03:28 But on me, I don't feel like I can hold as much drama.
03:31 So I just kept it somewhere in the middle.
03:33 And there's going to be a lot of color on the lid.
03:35 And for me, I wanted the color to be the focus, not so much
03:39 the darkness.
03:40 So you can always alter it to be whatever you like.
03:43 And I've also taken some black shadow
03:45 and rimmed it underneath my bottom lash line.
03:48 Don't worry if this winged out shape isn't perfect,
03:50 because we will be blending a ton of shadows on the lid.
03:52 And it's bound to get a little bit messed up anyways.
03:55 So the first shadow I'm using into my crease
03:57 is Soft Brown by MAC.
03:59 And I'm concentrating it more on the outer corner.
04:01 And I'm going back and forth.
04:03 I'm blending it just a little bit into the brow bone.
04:08 With Vanilla from MAC, I'm highlighting my brow bone.
04:11 And any matte light shade will do.
04:13 Next, I'm going in with a very precise brush.
04:20 And I'm basically just coloring in my lid.
04:22 So with Urban Decay's Peace Shadow,
04:24 which is a really pretty bright blue, very mermaid-like,
04:28 I'm patting this right next to the liner
04:30 on the first half of my lid.
04:32 To add a little more green into the look,
04:34 I'm using the Sea Foam shadow from Coastal Scents.
04:37 And I'm blending this into the bright blue
04:39 on the rest of my lid.
04:40 Now to add some sparkle, I'm using L'Oreal Paris Infallible
04:49 Pressed Eyeshadows.
04:50 And these are great eyeshadows.
04:51 I really love them.
04:52 And this bright white is perfect to go
04:54 over the first half of the lid.
04:56 And I'm also blending over the green a little bit
04:58 and into the first half of my crease there.
05:01 And also add a little bit into the tear duct
05:03 for that bright-eyed look.
05:05 [MUSIC PLAYING]
05:07 To smoke out the shadow liner, I am
05:11 using Gulfstream by MAC, which is a really pretty kind
05:13 of greeny-teal shade.
05:15 And I'm also bringing this underneath the bottom lash
05:17 line.
05:18 I really like liquid liner against my upper lash line
05:27 before I use false lashes.
05:29 So I'm just going in with a Sephora brand liquid liner.
05:32 And I'm rimming really tightly along my lash line
05:34 and then thickening it up as I go into the shadow wing
05:38 we've already created.
05:39 And then I'm going in before lashes
05:41 and just softening that line and making sure
05:43 that the black I first put is still strong
05:46 and blended into the rest of the shadows.
05:50 For big, wide eyes, pop on some white liner in your waterline.
05:53 And then finish the eyes with curled lashes and some mascara.
05:56 [MUSIC PLAYING]
05:59 Big false lashes really complete the look.
06:09 And I used some Duo Glue.
06:11 It's really the only glue I trust with false lashes.
06:14 And I have them on some tweezers,
06:15 so I let the glue get a bit tacky.
06:17 I place the lash in the middle of my lid.
06:19 And then I connect the corners and just make sure
06:22 that it has a little bit to dry.
06:23 And then I found that I wanted some more sparkle,
06:26 so I added Kitschmas by MAC on the front part of my lid.
06:29 And I really love the glittery texture.
06:31 [MUSIC PLAYING]
06:33 Gaga's inner crease is definitely
06:41 more contoured with a deeper matte shadow
06:42 with her deep set eyes.
06:44 So I added a little bit of that for more dimension.
06:46 But I didn't really worry about it,
06:48 because I liked how this look turned out on me.
06:50 And it's a little bit more subtle with less black.
06:53 But I think maybe that's a little bit more wearable.
06:55 And then for lips, I just lined my lips with Boldly Bare
06:58 really lightly.
06:59 And then I went in with Plink by MAC,
07:01 which is a really nice sheer lipstick.
07:04 And it feels more like a lip balm,
07:06 so I really love that one.
07:07 In some photos, it looked like she was wearing some gloss.
07:13 And in others, it just looked like a sheer lipstick.
07:15 So you can go ahead and add a clear gloss if you want to,
07:18 like I am here.
07:19 And here's my version of the completed look.
07:23 [MUSIC - LILI COOPER, "DON'T CALL MY NAME"]

07:37 I hope you guys enjoyed this video.
07:39 And if you did, please give it a thumbs up.
07:41 And that is a really chipped nail.
07:42 And I also have some makeup and hair looks
07:44 that I think would be great for prom.
07:46 So let me know when your prom is in the comments down below,
07:48 so I can plan when to upload those.
07:50 And if you have any other requests,
07:51 you can let me know as well.
07:53 And be sure to follow me on Instagram and Twitter,
07:55 so you can help me figure out which videos to post
