Following a £1.8 million budget boost, Tall Ship Glenlee restoration work begins.
The 126-year-old ship has been in Glasgow for 30 years after being abandoned for scrap in Spain.
Due to an increase in financing, restoration work is currently being done on one of the most historic ships on the Clyde.
Through the Covid-19 Response Fund, the National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF) has awarded the Tall Ship Glenlee a £1.8 million grant.
The funds will be used to cover necessary repairs on the 126-year-old ship as it marks 30 years after it was brought back to Glasgow after being abandoned for scrap in Spain.
These repairs were postponed during the pandemic because crew members were prohibited from entering the ship.
