The family of a father who was killed when he was struck by a car in Birmingham have paid tribute to their loved one saying 'his legacy will live on'. Hussien Nur Teklise was fatally struck by a car while riding a bike along Belgrave Middleway last week.

Birmingham Labour Group has announced the full city council cabinet. Cllr John Cotton has replaced Ian Ward, with Cllr Sharon Thompson as his deputy. The change comes after an internal report from the Labour Party found the leadership of the group in Birmingham was "dysfunctional".

Irish pub chain O'Neill's is set to open doors in another top city location very soon. There were once several O'Neills bars across Birmingham. The new O'Neill's is due to open on Harborne High Street at number 310 - where The Vine used to be - on May 28.
