00:00 Hello everyone, I'm Ariel, and now that I'm human, I wanted to show you how I do my makeup and my mermaid hair.
00:07 First, cover your face in whatever concealer or foundation you like.
00:10 Then put lots and lots of rosy blush all over the apples of your cheeks.
00:15 Then define your human cheekbones with some bronzer.
00:18 Spread some white eyeshadow all over your eyelid.
00:21 Then use a bright green to cover the outer half of your eyelid.
00:24 I wish I could have used brighter green, but this is all they have on land.
00:28 Decorate the outer corner of your eyelid with some bright purple, like my seashells.
00:33 Now you look pretty crazy, but you're not a child anymore, you're 16 years old,
00:37 so you better blend in your makeup like the adult you are.
00:41 Draw some dark purple into the crease of your eyelid and blend it in.
00:44 Add some more green because your cheap peasant eyeshadow is just not bright enough.
00:48 And you guessed it, blend it in like all adults do, with their finger.
00:53 Add some white eyeshadow to the inner corners of your eyes just to widen them up a bit like a cartoon character.
00:58 Not that I'm a cartoon character.
01:01 Define your eyebrows with some eyeshadow, or whatever fancy human thingamabobs you have.
01:06 Use some liquid eyeliner to carefully give yourself a winged eyeliner look on your upper lash line.
01:12 Now the hard part is to get the other eye looking like the first one.

01:17 Eh, close enough.
01:18 Now if you spontaneously decide to add some green to your lower lash line, you're a princess.
01:23 Go for it.
01:24 Now you're gonna apply some small fake lashes just to the outer corner of your eye.
01:29 Make sure you wait about a minute for the glue to become tacky.
01:32 And then carefully, shakily, apply it on top of your upper lashes.
01:37 And now for some mascara to blend your real lashes with the fake ones.
01:42 If you're gonna be visiting your family, make sure it's waterproof.
01:45 Now if you want, you can add some purple eyeliner to your lower lash line.
01:49 And voila, your eye makeup is complete.
01:52 Now on to the lips.
01:53 First, carefully line your lips with some red lip liner.
01:57 And don't just line them, fill in the spaces.
01:59 Then top 'em off with whatever bright red lip color you want.
02:03 But you know your makeup look wouldn't be complete without getting your lipstick all over your face.
02:08 And now it's time for you to panic and desperately try to rub it off with your finger.
02:13 After undoubtedly failing, run off to get some makeup wipes to fix your mistake.
02:17 Then cover up your makeup bald patch with some foundation.
02:21 Phew, that was a close one.
02:23 Oh, and now you're dropping things.
02:24 Now to avoid getting even more lipstick on your teeth,
02:28 make sure you blot the crap out of your lips with the tissue.
02:32 Now on to the hair.
02:33 First, brush out all of your tangles with a dinglehopper.
02:36 Now your hair is silky smooth.
02:39 Aren't dinglehoppers amazing?
02:41 Then tease a huge portion on top of your head in small sections, hairspraying along the way.
02:47 We need all the volume we can get.
02:49 Just continue teasing small sections of this huge portion of hair on top of your head
02:55 over and over and over.
02:58 Pull it all up together, tease it some more, and hairspray it.
03:01 Start experimenting with how you want to keep this hair afloat and fail miserably.
03:06 Brush it all over to one side, push it forward a little, and then pin it in place.
03:12 Don't be afraid to be generous with lots and lots of hairspray and bobby pins
03:17 to keep those pesky hairs in place.
03:20 It's tough, but you'll just have to keep shaping it and playing around with it
03:23 until you're happy with the shape.
03:25 Next, spray the rest of your hair with heat protectant spray.
03:28 Then curl it all in small sections using a curling wand for nice, loose curls.
03:35 For more volume, tease and hairspray sections of this hair from underneath.
03:39 Then brush out your curls with the dinglehopper and add some accessories.
03:44 And now you're done and back to looking like your old mermaid self.
