00:00 So last year I showed you guys me getting ready for prom and that's what I'm going to
00:09 be doing this year as well. I'm going to be showing you guys a gorgeous drugstore prom
00:12 makeup look, a really unique hairstyle, and you guys are going to come along with me while
00:17 picking out my prom dress. So I hope you enjoy. So after you get asked to prom, the first
00:35 step is to find a dress. And I know this can be really stressful, but I like to look through
00:40 magazines and even send pictures to my friends. And then it's time to head out to your local
00:44 boutiques or any store that sells cute dresses that you might want. Now don't expect to find
00:55 your dress at the first store you go to, trust me. I don't know, maybe I'm just really picky,
00:59 but it took me a while. But I narrowed it down to these dresses. And here is the first
01:04 one on. So this one is just a light lavender with crystals all on the top. And I'm normally
01:12 not a long dress kind of girl, but I love the color of this one. It's such a pretty
01:16 light pink and again, it's got the bling bling going on. And this dress is like a total on
01:22 princess dress to me. It's so sparkly and it's just adorable. And I'm normally not the
01:27 type of girl to go for feathers, but I thought I'd give this one a try. So leave a comment
01:32 below letting me know which dress you like the best or you can even send me pictures
01:35 of dresses that you're choosing from. So starting off with makeup, I'm starting off with a fresh
01:44 face and then taking my Maybelline Superstay Makeup, which is supposed to last 24 hours,
01:49 which is good since we're going to be dancing all night. So I'm just applying that all over
01:52 my skin. And then I'm taking my Revlon Photo Ready Concealer because you're going to be
01:57 taking lots of pictures. So I'm just using this to cover up any blemishes and under eye
02:02 circles. And then of course we want to set it with some powder, so I'm just taking my
02:06 Neutrogena Press Powder and applying that all over. And then to give our skin a warmer
02:12 look I'm taking my Milani Bronzer and I'm focusing that on my forehead, my temples,
02:17 and also my jawline. And then I have to fill in my brows, so I'm using my Milani Brow Kit
02:23 and filling those babies in. Now we want to prime our eyes for eyeshadow. I'm using L'Oreal
02:30 Decrease, applying that to my eyelids and then blending it in with my ring finger, or
02:33 my middle finger I guess, okay. And then I'm taking this Maybelline Color Tattoo. You just
02:38 want to take any shimmery cream base and apply that all over your eyelid. Now I'm taking
02:44 a silver shadow, but you could also use a gold shadow if it looks better with your dress.
02:48 And I'm applying that right over the cream base that we just applied. And then I'm going
02:52 in with this dark kind of silvery brown color and I'm applying that on the outer half of
02:57 my eyelid to kind of darken it up a little bit. Then I'm selecting a light shimmery brown
03:04 from this Maybelline Eyeshadow Palette and applying that right into my crease. And then
03:07 I'm taking another brown, but this is more of like a dark matte, and I'm focusing that
03:12 on the outer corner. Now to define our eyes we want to apply some liquid liner. This is
03:18 the Infallible Liquid Eyeliner Pen and I'm just creating a very thin line on my top lash
03:23 line and winging it out. And for lashes I'm using the Katy Perry lashes. Oh yes! So I'm
03:30 just applying a little bit of glue on there and placing those as close to my natural lash
03:35 line as I can. And then I'm finishing off with my Maybelline Cat Eyes Mascara and applying
03:40 that to my top and bottom lashes. Now this is the only non-drugstore product, but I'm
03:45 using a MAC blush because I just really love this color, but you could use any one that
03:49 you like. And for my lips I'm keeping it really really simple with this L'Oreal Infallible
03:55 Gloss in the shade 125 Bloom and applying that to my lips. And we're all done with the
04:02 makeup! Ok and for my hair I'm just going to be creating very nice loose beachy looking
04:09 waves. So first off what you want to do is take a waver and go ahead and wave your hair.
04:14 Mine's from Bedhead and my hair is already naturally wavy so this didn't do that much,
04:19 but if your hair isn't naturally wavy then you are going to need a waver or you can just
04:22 use like a beach spray or something like that to get your hair having a little bit of wave
04:27 to it. And then I'm taking my curling wand, but you could also just use a regular curling
04:33 iron and you just want to wrap kind of medium sized sections around the barrel and this
04:37 is going to give you those gorgeous beachy curly waves that are just adorable. They're
04:42 really stunning. They're not super structured, they're kind of just like flowing. I think
04:47 they're really pretty. So you just want to repeat that step all over your hair. And then
04:54 with my fingers I'm just brushing them out to make them a little bit more loose and now
05:00 I'm going to show you guys one of my favorite braided hairstyles right now. So what you
05:03 want to do is take a chunk of hair on one side of the front of your hair and you're
05:07 just going to braid it like normal a few times, but then you're going to pull out a tiny little
05:12 strand, then braid it one more time, pull out another tiny little strand. You can even
05:17 use the end of a comb if you want it to be more precise. Then you're going to braid it
05:21 another time, pull out another little piece of hair, braid it another time, and pull out
05:27 another piece of hair. And you're just going to keep on continuing that step until you
05:32 get to the end of your hair. And it looks really really cool to me and it's super easy.
05:36 So I think this is the perfect prom hairstyle. And now that you've created both of your braids
05:43 and secured them with elastics, what we're going to do is we are going to wrap each braid
05:47 around the back of our head and then secure it with bobby pins. And you might want to
05:51 use a lot of bobby pins here if you're going to be dancing, you don't want your hair to
05:54 fall. And now we are done with the hair and the makeup. So now you guys know what time
06:00 it is. It's dress time! I decided to go with these really really stunning silver high heels
06:11 and I love them because they have little crystal details on the top. And of course we've got
06:23 to pick out our fragrance, so of course I'm going to be choosing my pink sugar perfume
06:28 because this is my go-to and you guys know, shimmy, always shimmy through your perfume
06:33 guys. It's a need, we have to. And after that you just grab your clutch, your phone, or
06:42 whatever you're going to need for the night and head out to prom! I really want to see
06:49 your prom look so be sure to send me pictures or even if you try out my look you can send
06:53 me pictures as well with the hashtag prom ready. So enjoy your prom and don't forget
06:58 to have fun!
07:05 Hello! I am in my PJ's shirt! Let's see if I can scoot up. Oh this is dangerous. Okay
07:25 I'm sitting down. I need to do my hair! I'm recording now. They collect you! I was recording!
