Lara Croft and The Temple Of Osiris Hair and Makeup

00:00 Hi guys, it's Sarah. Today I'm going to show you how I did my
00:03 Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris makeup. This is how I did it for myself,
00:08 but I really hope it's going to be useful to everyone else.
00:11 It was fairly easy to achieve and to
00:15 get this look you'll need the following. Some
00:18 foundation and bronzer. You'll also need
00:21 brow powder, some
00:25 eyeshadow, concealer, liner and mascara. You'll need blush
00:29 and lip gloss. You will need several brushes,
00:33 concealer brushes, eyeshadow brushes, some
00:37 powder brushes and
00:40 you will need some moisturizer. Try to get one with SPF in it.
00:45 It will be very useful in protecting your skin, especially if you have a
00:49 photoshoot outside. Start by applying your foundation.
00:54 It's really simple here. I'm just using my
00:57 beauty blender. It's a knockoff, but it does the job.
01:01 It gives you that flawless coverage. There's really no secret here.
01:05 Just apply it using your beauty blender or your brush
01:10 or the sponge or whatever you use. You can even use your fingers.
01:13 I used to use my fingers because I just felt like it gave me more control over
01:18 the foundation.
01:19 Next you'll see me apply some tape to
01:22 the ends of my eyes. This is to give me a very sharp line with my eyeshadow
01:26 because I'm going to be creating a
01:30 what they call a smoky eye.
01:33 Lara has a very sharp line. I got this technique from
01:37 a beauty guru person called
01:40 Jaclyn Hill, I believe. She applied tape to her eyes.
01:44 I thought it was pretty smart. It'll help you be as messy as you want
01:48 when creating your
01:52 smoky eye. So this is why we're doing this.
01:55 And then when I removed it, as you can see here,
01:59 the line was very sharp and it had very clean edges.
02:03 Do not worry about the fallout on your eyelids,
02:06 on your bottom lids. We will clean that up with some more foundation
02:10 and the beauty blender and it will take care of it. It will take
02:14 all of it off.
02:19 Next we will be applying one coat
02:22 of eyeliner. I'm using a pen liner which is easier to control.
02:28 I just basically went over
02:31 as close as possible to my lash line and
02:34 I carried it over a little bit into the shadow that we did earlier.
02:38 Next you'll see me
02:45 using my pencil eyeliner.
02:49 I'm using a brush to hold on to my
02:52 lower lid so I don't mess up any of the foundation or
02:55 in the coverage that we worked on. And then I'll just, you know,
03:00 just apply some. I don't go all the way into my
03:03 inside of my duct. I just do,
03:06 I would say, three quarters of it.
03:11 Next you'll see me working on my eyebrows. Lara has some
03:15 very defined brows and they are
03:18 thick and luscious. So we're gonna
03:22 fill in our eyebrows as much as possible
03:25 and you'll see me working here on the arch because Lara's
03:29 have this gorgeous arch that's, you know,
03:33 that just gives her character.
03:36 So just use your, use a thin brush
03:39 and use either eyeshadow or brow
03:43 powder. Whatever you have on hand will work.
03:49 And then just apply some black mascara.
03:52 One coat will do just fine.
03:55 And then this step you can skip if you don't have dark circles
04:00 but for me, you know, lots of sleepless nights
04:03 will cause those, you know,
04:07 circles, the panda eyes. So I just used my concealer
04:11 and I covered it all up.
04:17 I also use some on my
04:20 nose and around my, you know, lips and everything. So
04:24 my lip gloss, when it goes on, it'll be very very defined.
04:28 And then I applied some finishing powder.
04:32 It's translucent. It is just used to set
04:35 all the liquid, you know, foundation
04:39 and concealer. Make sure that it doesn't move. Now
04:43 you'll see me use some bronzer
04:46 to put a little bit of color into our face
04:49 and make sure that we look human again.
04:54 I used it on my forehead and
04:57 to define my cheekbones and my
05:00 neck as well.
05:04 I used it as a contouring method, you know, as a contouring tool
05:08 and as like a coloring tool too, so
05:12 the foundation doesn't look so white. And then I took a smaller contouring brush
05:17 and I went and
05:21 just applied some on
05:24 either side of my nose because Laura's nose is very defined.
05:28 Look at that crazy face I'm making.
05:31 And then one of the
05:35 final steps is blush. I would say be liberal with it
05:40 but not to the clown level because Laura has some very rosy cheeks.
05:44 Next I ran my
05:49 brow brush over my brows just as a finishing touch.
05:56 And then I started working on my lips. What I did here, I just went
06:04 right by the reference photo.
06:07 She has some rose lips
06:12 on the inside and then they pour
06:15 out into a more pearly pink
06:18 on the actual lips themselves.
06:25 I'm using a brush here only because the lip gloss that I'm using
06:34 is in a palette.
06:41 Finally the hair is actually pretty simple. I flipped the camera angle so you
07:03 can see from
07:04 what it looks like on my side. The part
07:08 is slightly on the right. So yeah, please ignore the red hair.
07:13 It's supposed to be brown but I'm still
07:16 walking the red. I'll get rid of it someday.
07:21 So it's just a part that's slightly to the right
07:25 and with some short, short-ish bangs,
07:28 a ponytail that's a little high, and then
07:32 just pull some pieces
07:35 here and there and you're pretty much all set. I'm wearing
07:39 a partial costume. I'm wearing the right backpack
07:43 and the top. I've got the guns.
07:46 But yeah, this is just to give you a preview of what it would look like.
