00:00 From this morning's table, a great attention and willingness to understand the approach of young people to the world of work has emerged.
00:11 And therefore to understand what the levers are through which they can be involved, especially in a path in public administration.
00:20 It has been discussed regarding the issue of retribution, the issue of careers, but also regarding the issue of the request by young people for greater organizational flexibility
00:32 based on the possibility of doing smart working, of having flexible schedules.
00:37 And also regarding their attention to the values of the organization in which they enter and which they then participate.
00:46 The need to recognize themselves in those values. And from this point of view, public administration can certainly have a great weapon
00:56 because it is the one of the attention to the citizen, the services that are offered to the citizen, which can certainly become an important purpose for those who work inside.
01:09 The prejudice that young people have against the desire to work or choose comfort simply because they feel a great demand for smart working
01:20 is a prejudice that must be somehow eliminated because in reality we see many young people who make choices that lead them to invest in their achievement
01:32 even outside the traditional work paths, even through entrepreneurial initiatives.
01:38 So, there is certainly no more greed, but there is a different way of conceiving work.
01:46 A job that can be part of the development of other spheres of their lives, that can be consistent with their values.
01:55 The training plays a fundamental role, first of all, because it has become a moment of listening to the needs of young people.
02:02 We need to understand what are the values that they bring, what is their way of relating to work.
02:08 So, the first step is certainly to listen to them.
02:12 The second role that training can play is obviously also to train management, the management roles,
02:20 so that they are able to recognize and manage different work orientations that come from the different generations they come into contact with.
02:29 And finally, I would say that training can create that space of comparison between generations,
02:35 thus helping to dismantle reciprocal prejudices and to build shared collaboration paths.
