00:00 Today we're going to create a feline eye. It's a look that I do every single day of
00:06 my life. It's been huge for me, it's certainly changed my life. It's a look I've done on
00:10 many and many of my clients. It really is fantastic because it gives you these amazing
00:16 hypnotic sexy eyes. It's a universal look that suits every single person, no matter
00:21 what the shape of your eyes are. It's fantastic for many reasons. It gives you an eye lift,
00:27 it adds intensity to the eyes, it elongates the eyes. It's really fantastic. It's changed
00:34 my life and I hope it will change yours.
00:36 Okay, so we've already created the perfect foundation base and now we're going to curl
00:41 the eyelashes, which is step one. Look down for me darling. There we go. And right in
00:47 the base of the lash line and clamp and back. Really open up the eye. So now we're going
00:53 to take an Elizabeth Arden Smoky Black pencil and we're going to start from the inner corner
00:58 of the eye, really giving you that feline, slightly dragging it down, going inside the
01:02 lash line and the bottom half. So again that V, that feline cat look. And then drag your
01:12 pencil along the lash line, going straight, just following the lash line, three quarters
01:25 of the way. And then what you should do, the easiest way to do it is to look in the mirror
01:30 and put a point, do a straight line all the way across and when you get to three quarters
01:36 of the way, close your eye, along your lash line, you begin to lift and follow the point
01:44 upwards. And then you can fill into a V. Dip a cotton bud in some thick moisturiser if
01:55 you make a mistake because it just very neatly, look at me darling, look down over there,
02:02 wipes away any mistakes you might make. It's your best friend when doing a feline eye.
02:08 Now we're going to go inside, look up for me darling, inside the waterline and join
02:15 up the V in the corner in a straight line so it all becomes seamless. Once we've achieved
02:21 that shape, then you can look in the mirror and say, 'Okay, I want it to be more dramatic,
02:26 I want it to be thicker'. So I'm going to thicken it up a little, all the way along
02:33 because I've now got my shape that suits the eye, look at me. Marvellous, close your eye.
02:43 And then let the pencil slightly again on the outer edge rim of your lashes, the lower
02:48 lashes to rim that with your smoky pencil and that will give you a really nice softness.
03:00 You can always blend it a little bit with your finger. Always use a pencil sharpener
03:07 when doing this because your pencil might become blunt quite quickly and it's really
03:11 important to have a pointed sharp pencil. It will just really help you no end. So, on
03:22 Emily's eyes, actually Emily's got not the easiest eyes to do a feline eye on because
03:28 a bit like mine, the actual socket creases actually where you want to do the feline eye
03:36 so in fact you've got to do a little bit more cheating. Open your eye darling, so you've
03:40 got to look in the mirror and almost where the point is up here, really draw a triangle
03:44 in to really lift the eye because you're doing extra lifting because the socket does crease
03:48 a little bit lower so it makes it a little bit more round and we're trying to make more
03:51 of an elongated feline shape. So now you've got the shape on one eye, you look straight
03:56 in the mirror and then decide, 'okay right, so my eye comes out to about here so I should
04:01 put a dot' and then literally drag the line in and then all follow the lash and for the
04:18 rest it's exactly as per the other eye, so we're just following the lash line down. So
04:22 now we've done the feline eyes, we're going to go inside the lash line, the water lash
04:27 line and really rim it to give it that kind of ultra black, more powerful, more hypnotic
04:34 effect. If you want to change the shape and you feel that you might have gone too long
04:39 or too dramatic, I mean you might sometimes, feline eyes can be, they can be more subtle
04:43 and they can be more dramatic so in terms of the elongation, depending on how long you
04:48 want them to be, so if you feel that you've gone too far, too up, you just get a bit of
04:52 moisturiser, dip your cotton bud in a bit of moisturiser and you can shorten it, always
04:59 by squaring it off, so going in a kind of triangle, using the point to square it off
05:04 and then literally going up the triangle, sort of into a V, so straight across the top
05:10 and up. Now we're going to take the Mega Blush Volume by Maybelline, which we love and we've
05:17 curled the eyelashes so now we're really going to just, you know, put on masses of mascara
05:22 because it gives you a fabulously long, fabulous lash, mega lash and really coat each individual
05:32 lash with it. And as you're putting mascara on, really make sure that you're doing it
05:36 in the outward motion so you really get that, sort of going towards, the lashes are sort
05:41 of heading towards the feline flick in a sort of slanted fashion. Then once you've done
05:47 the top lashes, get your, point it vertically on the mascara wand and coat. So now we're
05:58 going to pop on a little bit of these Mimolize powders just to give, you know, it's great
06:03 with this look to kind of have that sort of, to really accentuate your cheekbones, give
06:06 yourself a bit of facial architecture. A little bit on the temples, just to give you that
06:14 kind of little bit of a, bonzy glow that just really nicely sort of accentuates. Yeah, it's
06:23 a great look. Makes all girls look sexy and gorgeous. We're going to line the lips with
06:34 a Kevyn Aucoin lip pencil. Get the great, I always believe in lip liners to get a really
06:42 good, to maximise your shape or enhance your pout. So line, yeah, and if you have small
06:50 lips it's fantastic using a lip liner because you can just sort of make them look a little
06:54 bit bigger or, even if you have big lips, they just really enhance the shape. So always,
07:00 even when doing a natural lip, always use a lip liner. Key. So now we're going to use
07:05 the Kate Moss No. 26 Beige Lipstick and pop a little bit of that on there. Marvellous.
07:20 And there you go, there you've got a great look, a fabulous look that we've used on many,
07:26 I've used on many models in my time and Kate Moss being one of them and it's a great look.
07:31 So this, so I've done this with a pencil and it's a little bit more natural looking, I
07:34 mean it's still kind of intense and hypnotic and it's still a feline eye, but if you want
07:38 to give it some extra drama and you're going out for a party all night or you just want
07:44 more staying power, you don't want it to budge all day, then I would suggest using the Maybelline
07:51 Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner, which is fantastic because it just doesn't budge. And really,
07:58 you're just literally tracing right on top with a Bobbi Brown eyeliner brush, right on
08:06 top of the black eyeliner. The shape of the body just gives you extra intensity and it
08:16 won't move. So you can party all night, you can cry, you can, hopefully not. Now that
08:25 you've gone at that extra intensity, you might want to put on a few individual lashes if
08:30 you're going out for a party and just make it amp up even more and give you even more
08:33 of that kind of feline elongation, a la Angelina Jolie. I always use Duo Clear White Adhesive
08:44 because it dries see-through, it's a great glue. I never use the eyelash glue that comes
08:49 in the packet because it never seems to do the job as good as Duo. And just pop those
08:57 on top. And just do one by one, literally keep on adding. Close your eyes. Next to each
09:07 other. Once you've got the eyelashes on, have a look and then literally get a bit more of
09:12 your gel black eyeliner because as they're drying, they will dry see-through, but you'll
09:17 want to go over in case they look a little bit white or a bit plasticky coming through.
09:23 So you want to close your eyes and go over the gel line. Close and over the lashes, over
09:32 the glue. And what I've also done is I've decided to elongate, once all the lashes were
09:40 on, it kind of hid the feline eye. So I've just elongated the feline eye ever so slightly.
09:52 Just to give it that extra length and extra drama. Once you've put the eyelashes on and
09:56 you're happy with your eyeliner and you've elongated and made it a little bit more intense,
10:00 you then put on a little bit more mascara to blend the false eyelashes into your own
10:06 lashes. You don't have to, you can leave it just. A little bit more of that to add more
10:11 drama. And also if you want a little bit more of that kind of rock and roll look, what a
10:15 lot of those girls do sometimes is just put a little bit of powder on top of the lip because
10:21 it makes it look a little bit more kind of 60s looking actually, or a little bit more
10:26 cool. It's often what I do in a lot of campaigns that I work on.
10:30 There you have it, the fabulous, hypnotic, sexy feline eye. It literally suits everyone,
10:36 no matter what the shape of your eyes. Small, wide apart, large, close together, you name
10:42 it, you will look amazing if you try this look.
