00:00 Recipe for Chicken Pulao
00:02 For Chicken Pulao you will need
00:05 Around 300-400 grams of Chicken
00:07 Assorted Garam Masala Pieces
00:10 1 teaspoon of Ginger Garlic Paste
00:13 1 Onion, of which 3/4 we will use for the Yakhni or the Soup
00:18 And 1/4 for the final Bagar
00:21 1 teaspoon of Coriander Seeds
00:24 And less, around 1 teaspoon of it, less of Salt
00:29 Turn off the flame and salt to taste
00:32 You will also need 2 cups of Rice
00:35 And we are using a Rice Cooker Cup
00:38 We will soak this for at least 15 minutes before cooking the Pulao
00:42 We will start off by adding the Chicken to a Pot
00:46 Along with the Ginger Garlic Paste and a little bit of Water
00:55 We will just cut the Onion in large chunks, you don't have to be precise about that
01:00 And lastly the Garam Masala Pieces
01:04 We will also add the Coriander Seeds and the Saunf
01:10 Next add some Salt to taste
01:15 Add enough Water to cover the Chicken
01:22 We will keep it on a high flame until it starts boiling
01:25 And then put it on a low flame until the Yakhni or Soup is prepared
01:29 This will take approximately 30-45 minutes to cook the Chicken
01:34 And we can make Mutton or Lamb Pulao with the same recipe
01:38 By just replacing the Chicken with the Lamb or Mutton
01:41 And then keeping it on for longer in order to cook the Meat
01:44 The Yakhni has been cooking for 45 minutes and it's now done
01:51 We will drain it out in a bowl
01:54 You should make sure that the liquid is double the amount of the Rice
02:00 We have 2 cups of Rice so the liquid should be around 4 cups
02:05 For the final Pulao you will need 1/4 of an Onion finely sliced
02:09 1/2 a teaspoon of Cumin Seeds
02:12 A Sorted Garam Masala Pieces
02:14 And Bay Leaves
02:16 You will also need some Oil
02:19 Heat up some Oil in a Pan
02:21 When the Oil is hot, add the Bay Leaves
02:26 And the Sorted Garam Masala and Cumin Seeds
02:29 And let it crackle in the Oil
02:32 And now add the Onion
02:38 We will fry the Onion until golden brown
02:47 And now we will add the Yakhni to the Onion
02:50 If the Yakhni has become a little less
03:02 Then just add a little bit of Water on top
03:05 So it's equivalent to double the amount of Rice
03:08 Adjust the Salt if necessary
03:15 And now add the Chicken
03:17 And discard the leftovers
03:23 When the Water starts boiling we will add the Rice
03:28 Cover it up until the Water has disappeared and the Rice has cooked
03:40 Open the lid and stir, but stir very lightly so the Rice does not break
03:46 It's nearly done
03:49 You can see the Water has now disappeared
03:52 However the Rice has not cooked 100%
03:55 So we will keep it on the lowest flame for 10 minutes to simmer
04:00 The Chicken Pulao is now ready and we will serve it
04:05 Your Chicken Pulao is ready to be served
04:07 You can serve it with Green Chutney or Kachumar or Salad
04:17 or kachuma or salad.
