If you accidentally crack an egg in your carton, don’t panic. In this video, learn when to safely eat and safely toss your cracked eggs. If you purchased eggs that were already cracked, do not use them. However, if you were the one to crack the egg, refrigerating or freezing the egg is a solution. To refrigerate your cracked egg, remove the yolk from the shell and transfer to a clean and safely sealed container for up to 2 days in the fridge. To freeze your eggs, make sure you don’t freeze the yolk as it’ll become thick and syrupy. You can scramble the yolk and egg white together to freeze it, where it lasts for over a year. Once they’ve been frozen, safely defrost the eggs by storing in the fridge overnight.
