This was the opening number for my high school's annual winter show, Theatre Revue! I'm still surprised I got a small solo in this one.
On the north-east tip of North America, on an island called Newfoundland, there's an airport. It used to be one of the biggest airports in the world, and next to it is a town called Gander. The residents of Gander are Canadian-Irish folks that are quite local, and everyone knows everyone. This song describes what the residents were doing just before the events of 9/11 occurred.
