Fats Waller - Sugar - 1927

Recorded February 16, 1927 in the Trinity Baptist Church Studios of the Victor Talking Machine Company, Camden, New Jersey. Victor bought the church in 1916 and converted it to a recording studio because of its' excellent acoustics in the days before microphone recordings. Fats Waller plays the Estey pipe organ which had been purchased from the Estey Co. of Brattleboro, Vermont in 1921-opus 1850.
