IPCC calls for deep and sustained emission cuts

The key scientific body guiding the world on avoiding climate change catastrophe has released its final report warning global temperatures are likely to pass 1.5 degrees above pre-industrial levels within in the next decade. In response, the United Nations is calling on governments to ramp up their emission reduction plans in the hopes of slowing down the warming.
