A crowd surge at a GloRilla concert in Rochester, New York, has left two dead and eight badly injured. The surge occurred after the concert had finished, the rush of everyone exiting caused a stampede. Authorities say the stampede may have started when audience members thought they heard gunshots. However, this is not confirmed, with police saying there was “no evidence to support a shooting having occurred.”33-year-old Rhondesia Belton was found injured after the surge, she died of her injuries in hospital. Rochester police announced the death of another woman, aged 35. Her name has not yet been released. GloRilla said she only heard about the stampede after she had left the venue.
