1947 Oh, But I Do - Margaret Whiting

  • el año pasado
Oh, But I Do (Robin-Schwartz) by Margaret Whiting, orchestra conducted by Jerry Gray. For the hit 78 release version.

Arthur Schwartz and Leo Robin wrote this tune (along with “A Gal In Calico” and “A Rainy Night In Rio”) for the Warner Brothers musical “The Time, The Place, And The Girl.” Dennis Morgan sang it in the movie and Margaret Whiting had the most popular recording. It was found on the flipside of her hit “Guilty,” which is included in the 1947 collection along with her versions of “You Do” “Old Devil Moon” and “Pass That Peace Pipe.”
