Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on February 27 said that there are many people such as Manish Sisodia who are put into bars. He also said that religion-based politics will not be good for the nation and common man should think about the current situation of the country. While addressing the media persons on February 27, Ashok Gehlot said, “There are many Manish Sisodias that have been arrested earlier in the country, a Kerala journalist was put behind bars for 1.5 years for covering the Hathras incident. There are many journalists and writers who are locked inside jails. So the common man should think about what's happening in the country. Religion-based politics will not be good for the nation.”
He also said, “There's unemployment and inflation across the country along with the atmosphere of tension and violence. There's the terrorism of ED, IT and CBI while the judiciary and ECI are under pressure. Inequality is increasing. Central government not focusing on these issues. The ruling party must take seriously what the opposition says. It's unfortunate that these people (BJP) are fascists and they are doing politics in name of religion. They don't believe in democracy.”
