Homemade brunch has never been so delicious. In this video, Annie tries a cheesy and savory croque madame recipe. Start off by making the cheese sauce with melted butter and flour whisked together in a saucepan until browned. Afterwards, add and whisk milk into the pot while bringing it to a boil. Then, let it simmer after boiling. Next, add in the cheese as well as salt and nutmeg for more taste. Now, butter each side of the sandwich bread slices before adding the cheesy sauce and ham to one side, and dijon mustard and cheese to the other. Put the slices with unmelted cheese into the oven until the cheese melts, build your sandwiches, and then place the sandwiches back into the oven until the sauce browns. While the sandwiches brown, fry up two eggs on the stove. After your sandwiches finish in the oven, apply the eggs on top and enjoy your croque madame!
