The general secretary of the Fire Brigades Union says Monday's vote to strike shows "the level of anger among firefighters", as walkouts were backed by 88% of members. Matt Wrack says discussions on pay began in May 2022, with the first offer of 2% being "such an insult after 12 years of attacks on pay". Report by Wardl.
