A butterfly collector unwittingly wanders into an Indian encampment while chasing a butterfly, but the tribe has resolved to kill the first white man who enters their encampment because white oil tycoons are trying to force them from their land.

Ein Indianerstamm soll wegen einer Ölfabrik enteignet werden. Der Häuptling schwört, dass der erste Weiße, der das Territorium betritt, sterben muss. Da kommt Buster als verträumter Ausflügler des Weges, gerade auf der Jagd nach einem seltenen Schmetterling ... und wird kurz darauf vom ganzen Stamm verfolgt. Mit waghalsigen Sprüngen und einem spektakulären Sturz in eine Schlucht versucht Buster seine Haut zu retten. Sein Abenteuer nimmt eine glückliche Wendung, denn als Buster verbrannt werden soll, können die Flammen ihm nichts anhaben. Wundersam - finden auch die Indianer und taufen Buster auf den Namen "kleiner Häuptling Bleichgesicht".
