Michael Urie and Philemon Chambers Talk Queer Romance in “Single All the Way"
  • last year
It’s official, our new favorite gay holiday rom-com “Single All The Way” is here and it’s better than we could have ever imagined. “Single All the Way” follows Peter (Michael Urie) who is returning home for the holidays. Eager to not spend another Christmas with his family pestering him about being single, Peter asks his best friend Nick (Philemon Chambers) to be his fake holiday date. Gayety editor Levi Chambers got the chance to sit down with Michael and Philemon to talk about authenticity, representation, and queer characters being played by queer people. Urie opened up about what this film means to him, “Growing up there was no romantic comedies with gay people for me, for anyone, because there hasn't been one yet and now we're going to have some and that's really exciting.” If you like Christmas, rom-coms, and cute guys falling in love, this movie is for you. Check out “Single All the Way” on Netflix now!
