Russian Defence Ministry releases images of nuclear deterrence training

Russia's Ministry of Defence has released footage that shows nuclear deterrence training. The drills include launching test missiles from the Kamchatka peninsula in the Russian Far East and from the waters of the Barents Sea in the Arctic, according to a Kremlin statement. Planes, said to be Tu-95 long-range aircraft, are also seen in the footage. The drills happen as Moscow continues to press its claims that Ukraine has been developing a "dirty bomb", an accusation strongly denied by Kyiv and dismissed by several world leaders.
