A Hong Kong protester was pulled into the Chinese consulate in Manchester, England, and beaten by a group of men on October 16, 2022. The man was part of an anti-Beijing demonstration at the consulate as the twice-a-decade Chinese Communist Party congress began on Sunday. British Prime Minister Liz Truss expressed “deep concerns” and police have launched an investigation.
