Framework for national plan to address teacher shortage

Education Ministers have promised to draw up a national action plan to address teacher shortages. Schools have struggled to attract and retain teachers in recent years, with heavy workloads, burn-out and poor pay identified as problems. The ministers have discussed new ways to attract people to the profession and keep them in classrooms.
