CWG 2022: Indian lawn bowls players create history, reach finals of Women's Fours event

Indian women's Lawn Bowls players created history on August 01 as they confirmed the nation's first-ever medal in the sport by reaching the final of the Women's Fours event by defeating New Zealand in the semi-final.
“Skip position is always challenging. But I was sure to do good and win. We had a coach till 2018 but after COVID-19, federation faced lack of funds. We weren't given a coach. We did our best and performed,” said Rupa Rani Tirkey while speaking to ANI.
