ECLIPTUS INTRODUCTION
ASU’s new Ecliptus is a digital intensified night vision system coupling an ultra-high definition (4X HD) GoPro® Hero 4 camera to a high performance Generation III image intensifier. This is the only night vision system that images extremely low light scenes (overcast starlight) in HD formats, captures these images via many hours of internal recording storage (≈ 9 hours HD video), and is able to real time share these images/videos through wireless communication (WiFi) to other digital networks or portable cloud computing devices. Ecliptus includes a near-IR illuminator, which is invisible to the human eye, which extends your ability to image and record in extreme low-light conditions. This system can be applied to any commercial application requiring ultra high definition imaging, capture, and sharing of real time streaming video of night vision scenes.
