NSW Premier says he's committed to performance pay system for teachers

The NSW premier has confirmed he plans to introduce performance based pay for teachers. The State Teachers' Federation has strenuously opposed any move to pay teachers on the basis of student outcomes due to the difficulty of quantifying teacher contributions.
