PM: Illegal asylum seekers cannot ‘vanish’ into the country

Boris Johnson says its vital “asylum seekers can’t just vanish into the rest of the country” and it’s important to distinguish between ‘people who are coming here legally’ and those who are trafficked across the Channel by gangs. This comes as reports today suggest that some asylum seekers arriving in the UK illegally on small boats could be electronically tagged under a new Home office trial.
