After team India scripted history by winning its first-ever Thomas Cup title, K Krishna, father of badminton player Kidambi Srikanth on May 15 expressed his happiness and thanked the Government of India for its support.
“First of all, thanks to GoI and Badminton Association of India (BAI). I am very happy that the Indian team achieved the Thomas Cup after a long and my son was a part of it. This is a very happy moment for me and my family members, he said.
The proud father also said, “All the credits go to the coaches and the supporting staff who trained and supported him in the academy. They made Srikanth fit again after 2018. Tuesday onwards, there's another tournament to be held in Thailand itself; he said that he will perform in that and then return.”
