Pentagon closes door on sending Nato combat aircraft to Ukraine, citing ‘high risk’

The Pentagon has closed the door on supplying combat aircraft to Ukraine, calling it  a “high-risk” move. The US Department of Defence said that it could be mistaken as “escalatory” which could inadvertently widen Nato’s role in the conflict.
