First look at About Us, created by 59 Productions, The Poetry Society and Stemettes, as part of UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK - a UK-wide celebration of creativity that opens in Paisley today 1 March 2022
About Us is a spectacular, never before seen, free open-air event that combines live performances and multimedia installations to celebrate the entire history of the universe from Big Bang to the present day.
About Us opens UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK, a UK-wide celebration of creativity, featuring ten major multisite projects, taking place across all four nations this year and begins its five-stop tour in Paisley
Paisley Abbey from 01 to 06 March (public preview: 28 February)
Guildhall Square & Waterloo Place in Derry–Londonderry from 15 to 21 March
Y Maes in Caernarfon from 30 March to 05 April
Luton Town Hall from 14 to 20 April
Queen Victoria Square in Hull from 30 April to 06 May
About Us has been created by 59 Productions, The Poetry Society and Stemettes, and features poems and Scratch animations from young people from schools across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. It features an original score by Nitin Sawhney CBE which will be performed as part of the live shows by local choirs.
