Kalicharan Maharaj booked for derogatory remarks against Mahatma Gandhi

The police in Raipur have filed an FIR against Kalicharan Maharaj for using derogatory words against Mahatma Gandhi and hailing Nathuram Godse for killing the father of the nation. The FIR against Kalicharan Maharaj was filed at Tikrapara police station in Raipur on a complaint by former mayor of Raipur Pramod Dubey. Kalicharan has been booked under sections 505(2) [Statements creating or promoting enmity, hatred or ill will between classes] and section 294 [obscene act in any public place] of the IPC.
