NHRC chairperson casts suspicion over human rights violations due to AFSPA

The chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Justice Arun Mishra on December 17 raised doubt over Human Rights violations due to Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and said that the body cannot generalise anything. “We cannot generalise any such issue like this. We can't say that because of this Act any human rights violation is taking place. If any particular case comes then we look at that case,” he said.
