Labor commits to 43% emissions reduction target by 2030

Federal Labor is committing to cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 43% by 2030, if it wins government at the next election. It’s slightly lower than the 45% target the ALP took to the last election, but higher than the Coalition’s long-standing target of 26-28%. Both parties have committed to reaching net zero emissions by 2050.
