The love of Christmas made of little things

What better way to tell Christmas, with a short poem by Gianni Rodari:
"The magical Christmas".
If I were the Christmas wizard
I'd make a Christmas tree pop up
in every house, in every apartment
from the floor tiles,
but not the fake sapling,
plastic, painted
that now sell everywhere:
a real fir, a mountain pine,
with some real wind
entangled in the branches,
that smells of resin
in all rooms,
and on the branches the magical fruits: gifts for everyone.
Then with my wand I would go away
to do magic
for all ways.

S’io fossi il mago di Natale
farei spuntare un albero di Natale
in ogni casa, in ogni appartamento

con un po’ di vento vero
impigliato tra i rami,
