Indian Navy to commission INS Vela submarine on Nov 25

Indian Navy is all set to commission the fourth of six Stealth Scorpene Class Submarines. Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh will commission INS Vela at the Noval Dockyard in Mumbai on November 25. INS Vela Commanding Officer Captain Anish Mathew said, “The main battery on board INS Vela is completely indigenously built in the era of self-reliant India.”
