Thousands of children across the county have been sitting the Kent Test today. The variation of the 11-plus exam will decide which students will be eligible for a grammar school place in September.

Some education experts have said the entrance test is too selective and achieving a pass score is sometimes not enough to secure a place.

We tested shoppers in Maidstone to see if they could answer some Kent Test questions, and were also joined by Peter Read from Kent Independent Education Advice to discuss the subject.
