Fears tests backlog could see more unexperienced people on Kent roads as learners are pushed through

Now if tests standards are lowered to reduce the current backlog of learner drivers, we will see more accidents across Kent.

That's the stark message of one driving instructor from Maidstone.

He says some of his pupils are being forced to wait for months and apply for tests which hundreds of miles away.

It's feared to reduce the backlog, examiners may pass people they otherwise might have failed.
