Health officials refuse to support campaign for new Medway hyper acute stroke unit

Medway Maritime Hospital was not among the sites included in the preferred option for a trio of specialist stroke units in Kent.

However, NHS Medway's chief operating officer Stuart Jeffery has voted against a motion calling for a rethink.
