Lakhimpur violence: Samyukta Kisan Morcha writes to President, demands SIT probe

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) has written to President Ram Nath Kovind over the Lakhimpur Kheri incident and demanded an investigation into the matter by a SIT under the supervision of the Supreme Court. They have also demanded dismissal of Union MoS Ajay Misra from his post and a case registered against him for incitement to violence and spreading communal hatred.
The move comes after eight people, including four farmers, were killed on Sunday as violence erupted during a farmers' protest in Lakhimpur Kheri.
