Commonwealth payments for workers to be phased out once 80% vaccination reached

Commonwealth payments for workers who have lost hours due to lockdowns will be phased out once states and territories hit the 80 percent double dose mark. The government argues this will dissuade states from locking down once the targets are reached. The President of the ACTU, Michele O'Neil, has labelled the decision as "irresponsible and disgraceful".
